Best Toys for Restaurants & Planes

Right before the pandemic, we brought Hunter to Florida. He was 15 months old and it was his first plane ride. I was nervous to find mess-free, quiet things to keep him entertained. Luckily we found a bunch! Now we have a restaurant backpack with the same toys. We keep it packed at all times so we can easily grab it and go and know he will be entertained. Here are some of our favorites:

Melissa & Doug Water Wow Pads These are great! They come with a little "pen" that you fill with water and they can "color" the pictures. Totally mess free and reusable. As soon as the pages dry, they can do it all over again! We bought this 3-pack but there are a bunch of different ones to choose from.

Triangle Crayons Hunter absolutely loves to color! We color multiple times every day. I knew crayons were a must for the plane. My cousin told me about these triangle crayons. They are perfect for the plane or really anywhere because they don't roll away. I know I would have been searching the floor of the plane for crayons if she hadn't told me about these. I also included 2 of our favorite toddler coloring books.

Reusable Sticker Board Stickers are always fun for Hunter. This is a reusable Baby Shark sticker set. It comes with a cardboard ocean scene and a ton of stickers. We have been using it for 6 months and they are still sticking! Recently we got another one by Melissa & Doug with a farm scene. I typically love all Melissa & Doug Toys and they have other sets to choose from.

Doodle Pro Do you remember the Magna Doodle from when we were kids? This is just like that in a small travel size. It can clip onto a backpack and has the pen attached so it doesn't get lost. They can draw on it endlessly and with a quick swipe, they can start all over.

Hope this makes some of your travels a little easier!
